\"\"<\/em>Om nostalgi i et blindt sind<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201dFar, bliver det aldrig 1970\u2019erne igen?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Det sp\u00f8rgsm\u00e5l stillede jeg min far kort f\u00f8r \u00e5rsskiftet til 1980. Jeg var 4 \u00e5r!<\/p>\n

N\u00e5r jeg t\u00e6nker p\u00e5 episoden, kan jeg stadig genkalde mig det lille stik af sorg, jeg f\u00f8lte, da jeg h\u00f8rte svaret. M\u00e5ske var det i det \u00f8jeblik, jeg blev bevidst om, at ethvert forpasset \u00f8jeblik ville v\u00e6re tabt for evigt.<\/p>\n

Episoden rummer essensen af, hvad jeg forst\u00e5r ved nostalgi. Det er en ambivalent tilstand, der p\u00e5 den ene side rummer gl\u00e6den ved i tankerne at kunne genbes\u00f8ge en tidligere oplevelse og p\u00e5 den anden side sorgen over ikke at kunne genopleve den med samme intensitet af f\u00f8lelser og sanseindtryk.<\/p>\n

Nostalgien har v\u00e6ret en del af mig, s\u00e5 l\u00e6nge jeg kan huske. For nogle mennesker har nostalgi en lidt negativ klang. En utilfredshed med tingenes tilstand og en oplevelse af, at alt var bedre i gamle dage. Det er dog ikke s\u00e5dan, jeg selv forst\u00e5r ordet, og ikke s\u00e5dan jeg oplever nostalgien i mit eget liv. Jeg er rigtig glad for mit liv, som det har udviklet sig, og har ikke noget \u00f8nske om at vende tilbage til fortiden. Alligevel kan jeg f\u00f8le en l\u00e6ngsel efter kortvarigt at kunne genopleve en tid eller en begivenhed. <\/span><\/p>\n

Det sp\u00f8rgsm\u00e5l, jeg kan stille mig selv, er, om mit forhold til nostalgi er p\u00e5virket af min manglende evne til at visualisere og benytte mig af \u201dindre\u201d sanser. Min hang til nostalgi er s\u00e5 dybt forankret i min personlighed, at den nok n\u00e6ppe kan tilskrives aphantasia. Aphantasia<\/a> kan dog muligvis have en indflydelse p\u00e5 den m\u00e5de jeg oplever og udlever nostalgien. M\u00e5ske har det givet mig et st\u00f8rre behov for at fastholde eller genkalde mig de eksterne sanseindtryk ved brug af \u201dhj\u00e6lpemidler\u201d som fotografier, film eller musik. M\u00e5ske er det sv\u00e6rere for mig at give slip i erkendelsen af, at jeg ikke bare kan \u201dvende tilbage\u201d. Her er det dog vigtigt at n\u00e6vne, at evnen til visualisering er bredspektret, og at det langt fra er alle visualiserende mennesker, der vil kunne genkalde sig sanseindtryk med en intensitet, der n\u00e6rmer sig virkeligheden.<\/p>\n

I mit tidligere blogindl\u00e6g \u201dUsynlige minder<\/a>\u201d deler jeg mine forestillinger om, hvordan aphantasia p\u00e5virker min t\u00e6nkning og min selvbiografiske hukommelse: Oplevelser og sanseindtryk konverteres til ord og tanker, der lagres i hukommelsen. Det enkelte minde styrkes og stabiliseres jo flere gange det bliver genbes\u00f8gt i tankerne.<\/p>\n

Selvbiografisk hukommelse rummer noget st\u00f8rre end blot at kunne huske facts (eller genopleve sanseindtryk) fra h\u00e6ndelser i fortiden. Det handler ogs\u00e5 om at kunne relatere sig f\u00f8lelsesm\u00e6ssigt til det man husker. Det er her nostalgien kommer ind i billedet som bibringer af det f\u00f8lelsesm\u00e6ssige aspekt. Nostalgien er p\u00e5 den m\u00e5de med til at underst\u00f8tte den selvbiografiske hukommelse. Omvendt er det sv\u00e6rt at forestille sig, at nostalgi kan eksistere uden hukommelse.<\/p>\n

Nostalgi er som et tve\u00e6gget sv\u00e6rd, der p\u00e5 den ene side giver os tryghed og genkendelighed og styrker f\u00f8lelsen af tilknytning til vores fortid. P\u00e5 den anden side indeholder det melankolien og afmagten over for tiden, der forsvinder. Vi bliver ramt p\u00e5 et eksistentielt plan, da den tid der forsvinder uundg\u00e5eligt bringer os t\u00e6ttere p\u00e5 vores egen udl\u00f8bsdato. P\u00e5 den m\u00e5de bliver bevidstheden om det uigenkaldelige en p\u00e5mindelse om vores egen forg\u00e6ngelighed.<\/p>\n
