Det beskriver en vedvarende tilstand, hvor man ikke er i stand til at genkalde sig oplevelser fra sin fortid. Hukommelsen vil ofte v\u00e6re l\u00e6deret. Man husker episoder fra sit liv som en r\u00e6kke af facts uden detaljer; og uden at man kan genkalde sig de f\u00f8lelser eller sanseindtryk man oplevede i situationen. Det beskrives af nogle, som at opleve det i 3. person, som noget der er blevet fortalt en, men uden at man har f\u00f8lelsen af selv at have oplevet det.<\/p>\n<p>SDAM blev opdaget og navngivet i 2015 af professor Brian Levine og hans kolleger p\u00e5 Baycrest\u2019s Rotman Research Institute i Toronto.
